Day 3 - This Is Our Life

Hey guys!  Today, Wednesday the 10^th of July, was our second day of ministry.  In the morning, we headed down to a local church after purchasing food supplies at a supermarket.  We sang a couple of songs with the amigos there, and we heard a testimony from Susan about her ministry in prisons.  After that, we had a skit to the music of “This is Your Life” by Switchfoot (look them up!), a touching story about a man in prison reflecting on his past, accepting Christ, and eventually receiving a second chance at life.  Then, we entertained the little chicos and chicas with face paint and balloon twisting.  A few popped balloons later, we handed out the food we bought to all the families gathered there, then bade goodbye to the iglesia and headed back to our compound, where we had a delicious lunch of chicken, rice, beans, and pasta salad.  More to come in the afternoon!
